THE CRISP F-BOMB FACTOR

See this movie:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486585/

Seriously folks, do you say bad words? Does it make you question your intellect level when you drop a crisp F word after stubbing your toe? Should you have said something instead of the F word? WHY? MOTHER F-r, YOWWWEEE, that hurt. F! Or…should you have said something like “mother momma muckle Joe Joe!”? I readily admit... it’s pretty gratifying to drop a crisp F-bomb when needed. Why is it needed you may ask? How did I learn this steadily readily form of gratification? Was it innately born into my brain? THE F factor. Why am I typing F instead of F-U-C-K? What does it mean and where was it derived from? And I regress to the link above…WATCH THE FILM and process the question again?

My current random thoughts:

I’ve overdosed on the SUN-RYPE Fruitsoruce Mini Bites (tropical flavor).
I’m up to 5 solid pull-ups at the gym (my face turns red).
I’m riding my 4wheelie on Thanksgiving Vacation in Idaho.
I want to learn how to jump off bigger things when I get my Santa Cruz bike.
Carly got me back into my flat iron; I want to find where I forgot I packed it.
It was so foggy while running this morning; it was like a scary movie.
My new phone came with a CARPE DIEM screensaver!
I want to sneak up on someone that’s in the shower and dump ice cold water on them.
I might have to do that to Douglas tonight…it doesn’t hurt!
He will find a way to prank me back.
I’m getting a massage today and I’m STOKED.
I miss the MASSACHUSETTS accent.
I’m craving THAI food.
I’m going to sign up for the HAGG Lake 50k trail run in February.
I’m multi-tasking right now-keep dropping this screen down and working-on rotation.
I like the TODAY show
I LOVE slugs, snails, and frogs.
Would like to have a big glass tank with a slime farm of all the above.
I refrain from such a farm, as the slugs and such would be sad in captivity.
I want a big bathrobe in pink with silver stars on it.
I don’t want any tattoos.
I like henna.
I’m still craving Thai food.
I want to see the new Mike Moore film.
Everyone should have a favorite hat and pair of socks…I’m talking FAVORITE!
Everyone should walk around their house naked while drinking coffee (or tea).
And I leave with a song to ROCK OUT to…

ORDER UP!

FOLKS, PEOPLE in the middle, up high, and down LOW…ALL OF YOU!
Now that the weather is heading down the winter train tracks, Fall is going down without a fight. Surely, we all know that Turkey day is near; however, I feel ol’man winter
Cruising closer to dew...which is now frost on grass blades near and far. Indeed, the rain is coming closer to creating puddles. That’s what the weather humans are saying anyway…

Right now, at this very moment, I’m thinking about the time change, darkness setting in earlier, and the cold chill of morning slapping my face. This is not to say it’s a bad thing, as I do like the seasons changing in and out of each other. I like smelling the next one nearing closer and booting out the other. SEE yah, it’s all about ME now, my name is winter and I’m so over your fall ass ways.

Since this is a random little blurb and my buddy Matty left me a vm letting me know I haven’t been writing on here…

How about I share my random thoughts at this very moment:

I want to ride my 4wheelie this weekend
I’m stoked they just added a hot yoga on the weekend at the local studio
I just ate an entire bag of fruit source mini-bites
I can’t wait to get my new bike
I’m torn between naming it Ocean-Frog or Sea-Frog…
I bought some gloves for running for 0.99c last night
My cell phone is shitting the bed
I love my Orville Redenbacher popcorn maker
I’m going to do 10 pull-ups by the end of this year
Carly did the blow dryer/flat iron thing to my hair after
The track workout today and I think I look different
I pull my hair in elastics every single day
I Googled the stickers I used to have in my 4th grade collection
I still like stickers
I want a wax stamp old fashion like envelope sealer
I wonder what Patty McCormick is doing these days

OK, enough randomness for now folks. I leave you with a very nice G&R song for the day. Listen and ROCK OUT!

ENDLESS

Today I talked to a dear friend on the phone. He asked me if I've been writing any poetry lately. I said no...
When our phone conversation ended, I started typing and here's what landed on the screen. This ones for you MIKEE;-)

Soul entranced by any and many... other than you
Be still my friend, for it's almost the end
Of this short journey taken by the long road
away from home and closer to the sun
It's bright in the warmth of her beams
Indeed the clouds try to win over this light of day
Billowing in their beckoning way
Enraptured in the trance of such
As the 7th sea meets her oceans mouth
I'm crying out...
Like a gull for its next meal
Saunter South in these months of cold
I shall find the warmth on blind rock beds and shallow shores
Just like the sound of tides ebb and flow
I'm running so far from edge
I can no longer see the white caps telling me to come home
Tantalized by the succulent nectar fruit growing on branch-less trees
I'm warned of frost being near
My shoes are lace- less
and my head close to faceless
Wander I do, through the thick of night and moons whispered breeze
All of these years have turned over leaves
Falling down and landing
In every direction of my compass rose
Held in hand, enclosed in tattered wear
I'm searching for stars on land
Roaming fields with few slivers of golden grass blades
Dried by the heat of the sun
Summers end is growing past
Brilliant she was and soon she will be again
Nurturing the flower and her open bloom
A scent I yearn for
Over mountains and valleys divine
I'm coming around the dips and turns
Just to get a glimpse of her stature
Brimming over me like warm Sunday coffee
She's fast and seldom furious in her ways
Like mother nature natural
Her name is soul and she lives eternal
Like everlasting gobstopper infinity
Absorbent like sea sponge
Keeping me on the search for endless...
ENDLESS

A run down memory lane...

Sent: Tue, July 28, 2009 12:13:54 PM
Subject: YOU are not going to believe this

YESTERDAY, I was running on the trails here in Hood River, where I go all the time...and I was attacked by a HUGE owl. I MEAN HUGE. I was running along, happy in the 100 degree woods. So pretty, peaceful, and pristine! UNTIL a HUGE and ferocious owl attacked me in the head (with its talons). I SHITTTTTTTTTTTT you not. IN the moment, how it felt hitting my head and pulling my hair, I sincerely thought, this is it, this is the moment, my time has come, and I’m being attacked by murder man. I really thought, someone whacked me in the head and was about to drag me off the trail. IT hit me hard and pulled on my hair. My adrenaline rushed in so hard and I was like “WTF” and ready to fight. I really said that and turned around to attack my attacker! THEN, I didn't even get scared until I realized I was being attacked by an owl and not murder man. Because..." I don't know how to speak or fight in OWL lingo.” SO, it flew away right by my face and perched in a tree about 20 feet up and started talking to another owl I discovered in a tree nearby! I was like...OMG; I'm going to die by OWL out here! So I threw a stick hoping it would fly away. NOPE, just bobbled his head and kept staring me down. The other owl was staring at me too! SO, I took my stick and waved it over head so it wouldn't swoop down and eat me. THEN...I went to get another stick and thought I'd back track, as I was too scared to run by both of the owls! I went to get another stick to protect my head and the owl attacked me again on the other side of my head! Like really attacked my head, REALLY! My head feels bruised today. I screamed and said very bad words and ran waving the 2 sticks, jumped off the trail through the woods and over the dried up stream, up the bank, and onto the dirt road. WTF, I ran fast down the road and got back on a connecting trail a ways down. I was still flailing my sticks over my head and 2 women came around the corner running as well. I warned them and they turned around. THEN, a dude came running off the trail and he'd been attacked 3 times! Then a chick on her mt. bike came off the trail and she had been attacked. OMG!

SO, Douglas was already coming to the woods to film with the documentary dudes...I showed him where to connect with the trail from the dirt road which it parallels about 75 yards away. THE F-ing owl flew through the woods from the murder perch and landed on a branch above the truck and stared at us. OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG.

Needless to say, I'm alive, but now I'm not sure I will EVER run that trail again. SOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSOSO scary and I have war wounds on my head! Can you believe it? At first, before I discovered the other VICTIMS, I thought it was me. AND was like, wtf, I'm a nice and good person, what, why???? SO, I thought maybe he thinks my hair is a rodent, or they have babies! Needless to say, the 2 very protective owls MUST be nesting. BEWARE, they are ferocious while nesting! I truly wish I had video of the craziness!

Oct. 15, 2009
At present time, months later from that sweltering July day…
A running group was born out of that day in time. The 2 women, who turned back on the trail, are now running track workouts with me weekly. Stacy and Carly have joined the forces of nature. Running to their hearts content indeed! And I’m glad to have met them along the owl attack path!

DO IT TO IT....

Ha haaaaa, happy HUMP-DAY folkies! Today is raining juicy raindrops. The sky is a mixture of cloudy grey and bits of blues sneaking in.

Today started with the alarm chiming at 5:53am (I like odd numbers). Rolled out the door for the track around 6:15ish ishh-ishhh. The lady troopers MADE IT COUNT this morning. We managed to pull off a good speed workout in the rain. It was a wimpy rain, nothing torrential slapping our faces with wetness. So after the speediness was done, I jumped in my rig and went to the store to get half-half creamer for the ladies at work.
Dashed to Carly’s to shower and then sit on my butt and watch the today show. Uhhh, do I have to go to work today? Carly has such great couches in her cozy hut.

What is going on TODAY? WHAT will be had on this HUMP-DAY? What’s for lunch and where are your snacks? I heart snacks! I’m going to get my butt out the door before the darkness takes over daylight and get some fresh air. I’m thinking of the weekend and my MUST do’s. I want to go see WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE, run the 10k that I’m scared of (3/4th hills) and make more apple oatmeal crisp. THAT’S right…apple oatmeal crisp, a tasty little diva she is. I might make banana bread too, as there are some really sexy almost rotten bananas relaxing on the top shelf of my fridge. In the mix of the weekend that seems to be getting closer, I think I might finish the little book I’m reading and try to chop logs into firewood, go to a yin yoga class, maybe ride a bike, try doing more than 2 pull-ups, maybe eat man-cakes at Stepping Stone CafĂ©, go dancing in the big city…and last but not least, not be last (Harvest Dash 10k).

I will leave you with a splash of daily wisdom from a friend;-)

Today is the day...

And tomorrow is another. What shall I do now and then? Hmmmm, I've just plunged into the sea of cyber verbiage and there's no stepping back my friends!

What sparked this plunge some might ask? Well, over the years of building a compilation of about a dozen journals every few years, all with random entries and in no particular order...always ending in mass destruction. I've gathered them and lit an ever-flame to all the words...watched them burn in a wood stove many miles away. I've thrown them all in the recycle dumpster outside my side porch stoop...and watched the big green truck troll them away. They disappeared before my eyes, some of them still linger in my head-space, and some of them are lost forever.

ALAS, these words are about to be riding the wave of online jargon and such. Here I go folks...

Since this is my very first post, maybe I should right the most. Rhyme a little? Come up with a theme and such? Hmmm, wtf shall I write about in this big juicy space of mine? Maybe share the best song playing on the radio this morning? OK, yes indeed, for your listening pleasure!

Today, here in the land of the WILD, it's snowing. I can't F-ing believe it! Just last Friday I accepted FALL. That good fight not let go of summer happens every year...until I finally let go and embrace the season. The smells floating around the air, the chill on my face while doing what I do in the great outdoors, pumpkin spice coffee tantalizing my taste buds to the last drop, the magnificent hues of yellow, orange, and gold...all the indulgences of FALL. This season it happened while biking down Dog River. Pedaling to the next downhill adventure, I stopped at an opening that was a picturesque moment in time. MY TIME. And it clicked! Hello FALL, I'm ready for you now, lets play...shall we? Sigh...

And now, snow is falling outside my window! How can this be? Winter is such a little stage hogger. Get back in your cave Ms. Winter, you don't belong in this spotlight. Fall is dancing before me and my she looks lovely.

I'm going to eat apples, log lots of miles on my legs, ride a bike that's too big for me (and I love -it), challenge myself to meditate (me sit still and quiet?), and make something famous. Yes, you read right! I'm going to make something WICKED FAMOUS. It could be apple oatmeal crisp, a squeezable mustard, ketchup, mayo container, a road race everyone and their uncle wants to run, a glitter chap-stick, or maybe something super serious...like a "how to walk in stilettos manual for DUMMIES." You just never know.

And I regress...

TODAY is the day and TOMORROW is another.

Until next time...
