Today is the day...

And tomorrow is another. What shall I do now and then? Hmmmm, I've just plunged into the sea of cyber verbiage and there's no stepping back my friends!

What sparked this plunge some might ask? Well, over the years of building a compilation of about a dozen journals every few years, all with random entries and in no particular order...always ending in mass destruction. I've gathered them and lit an ever-flame to all the words...watched them burn in a wood stove many miles away. I've thrown them all in the recycle dumpster outside my side porch stoop...and watched the big green truck troll them away. They disappeared before my eyes, some of them still linger in my head-space, and some of them are lost forever.

ALAS, these words are about to be riding the wave of online jargon and such. Here I go folks...

Since this is my very first post, maybe I should right the most. Rhyme a little? Come up with a theme and such? Hmmm, wtf shall I write about in this big juicy space of mine? Maybe share the best song playing on the radio this morning? OK, yes indeed, for your listening pleasure!

Today, here in the land of the WILD, it's snowing. I can't F-ing believe it! Just last Friday I accepted FALL. That good fight not let go of summer happens every year...until I finally let go and embrace the season. The smells floating around the air, the chill on my face while doing what I do in the great outdoors, pumpkin spice coffee tantalizing my taste buds to the last drop, the magnificent hues of yellow, orange, and gold...all the indulgences of FALL. This season it happened while biking down Dog River. Pedaling to the next downhill adventure, I stopped at an opening that was a picturesque moment in time. MY TIME. And it clicked! Hello FALL, I'm ready for you now, lets play...shall we? Sigh...

And now, snow is falling outside my window! How can this be? Winter is such a little stage hogger. Get back in your cave Ms. Winter, you don't belong in this spotlight. Fall is dancing before me and my she looks lovely.

I'm going to eat apples, log lots of miles on my legs, ride a bike that's too big for me (and I love -it), challenge myself to meditate (me sit still and quiet?), and make something famous. Yes, you read right! I'm going to make something WICKED FAMOUS. It could be apple oatmeal crisp, a squeezable mustard, ketchup, mayo container, a road race everyone and their uncle wants to run, a glitter chap-stick, or maybe something super serious...like a "how to walk in stilettos manual for DUMMIES." You just never know.

And I regress...

TODAY is the day and TOMORROW is another.

Until next time...

  1. Heather, I can totally relate to the whole collection of journals thing. My trend has always been to start with excitement and renewed commitment to the practice...again and again. I do enjoy going back through my old ramblings, wishing I had a more steady record. I will say the most cathartic journaling I have ever done was in the style of Bridget Jones...not only is swearing incredibly appropriate and expected, but the fun of quantifying random things and adding updates throughout the day was pretty great.

So, here I am...leeching off your creative blog. Speaking of blogs, if you haven't seen Julie & Julia I recommend it.

I am going to put in a request for a flashback entry describing your run-in with the owl.

  2. MAGEEEEEE-DIVINE! LOVE IT! LOVEEEEE your thoughts and your FOR SERIOUS REQUEST. I was JUST asking the ladies at practice this morning-
"Do any of you have that owl email I sent?" As I can't find the email, I think I deleted it. I'm going to get someone who saved it to send it to me. I will work it up a bit and post it FO-SHO.
    Love ya lady,
